Boston Cream Cake

We’ve had fun experimenting with these. We first tried to pipe the pastry cream into the middle of the cupcake but it just didn’t seem like enough pastry cream. So we decided to cut the cupcake in half, put the bottom half in a short plastic cup, add a big dollop of pastry cream on top, put the top half on top of that and then drizzle ganache on top. Yes, you’ll want to eat it with a spoon so you don’t miss even one errant crumb!
